Helloooo lovely fans of the Goddess Blog and welcome to another day and another post by yours truly! Today I have come up with a resolution for the upcoming 2022 that I want to share with you guys, so stick around to read up about it - it won’t be too big of a resolution mind you, and I also hope that it will be only one of many resolutions that I will come up with - and as always, remember to get some coffees for your one and only Goddess!
So yeah, I was casually looking back at some pictures from my summer vacations and I stumbled upon one of these which my mom got of me oh so conveniently. Yes, the picture I have in mind is of course the picture on your left, the cover for this post :D
After deciding to post it for today (today's resolution 😁), I also decided to have another resolution for 2022:
I will be doing 1-minute planks every day.
Wish me luckkk as planks are really tough and difficult - but I believe I really need them in order to strenghten my stomach in order to be fit as hell when next summer comes along! 😄
Why planks you might ask? Well, in no particular order, here are some reasons about why planking is awesome:
1. It Significantly Reduces Risks To Back And Spinal Injuries
If you are not an avid exciser or you just simply do not have the time, then injuries can be a straight nightmare for you guys. The cure? Planking - it helps solidify your core and by doing 1-minute planks every day you help out your spine oh so much!
2. It Defines Your Abs
Ah yes.. the lovely six-packs. Who doesn’t want them am I right? Well, planking is one of the go-points if you want to have a nicely shaped abdomen, as it is one of the most exposed muscle group while doing the plank itself. Oh yeah - did I mention that it does wonders for the butt with the ladies as well? :))
3. It Boosts Your Metabolism
Planks are hard - like really hard - and that is mostly because your muscles are working into overdrive while doing the planking itself. As a result, you are burning wayyyy more calories than with other exercises - and as a result of burning calories, your muscles will eventually grow. Final result? Faster and better metabolism!
4. It Enhances Your Overall Balance
Are you a bit low on your agility? Are you a bit tipsier than usual? Then planking is the go-to exercise for you: planking for one minute every day will improve your balance, and naturally, it will enhance your performance in whatever sporting activity you participate in! And yeah.. I am counting sex as the single best sporting activity out there. :)))
5. Mental Benefit
Did you know that planking has certain benefits on our nerves? Consequently, this makes planking an amazing method of improving a person’s overall mood. For starters, planking strecthes out muscle groups that influence stress and tension in the body. When you are sitting or standing all day long, your muscles get tight and tension forms in your shoulders, making you slump forward during the whole day. Situations like these stress out your nerves as well - with planking, you are helping out your brain while also treating anxiety or depression symptoms.
